Assistant Accountant
Location: Warwick (Excellent access from the M40 & A46)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
My client is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Accountant to join their successful multi-company organisation based on the outskirts of Warwick. Operating across a diverse range of business sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic and varied business where no two days are the same.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function and ensuring the smooth running of financial operations across multiple companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly management accounts.
- Completing and submitting VAT returns.
- Supporting the Chief Financial Officer with day-to-day financial management.
- Managing file uploads, mail merges and other administrative finance tasks.
- Working across multiple accounting systems and assisting with financial reporting.
- Maintaining accurate financial records with a high level of attention to detail.
- Providing support across the wider finance function as required.

About You
- Have a minimum of AAT Level 4 qualification (preferred).
- Have at least 5 years' experience preparing management accounts (preferred).
- Be fully computer literate, with strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Be confident carrying out file uploads and mail merges.
- Have experience using a variety of accounting software packages (highly advantageous).
- Be self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
- Have excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Be willing to take ownership and a high level of personal responsibility.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
This is a full-time, office-based position located on the outskirts of Warwick, with excellent access from the M40 and A46.
