THE ROLE
This position offers a vital support role within the finance team, ensuring cash and bank transactions are processed correctly and timely. Key duties include daily reconciliations, processing incoming funds, and assisting with cash flow management. Collaboration with site managers and finance colleagues is essential for smooth operations and accurate reporting.
- Carry out daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Record various receipts, including payments from clients and insurance providers
- Reconcile card payments made through different channels
- Maintain and update cash records to reflect bank statements accurately
- Support cash flow forecasting and reporting activities
- Process and verify supplier and payroll payments according to control policies

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are precise, well-organised, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Experience with cash reconciliations and financial reporting will help ensure the organisation’s cash position remains strong. You enjoy working with teams and communicating professionally with stakeholders.
Mandatory
- Possess an AAT qualification at Level 3 or 4, or be working towards professional accounting qualifications (such as ACCA or CIMA)
- Have 1–3 years’ experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on cash management
- Understand principles of cash flow forecasting
- Be familiar with card payment processing and reconciliation procedures
- Have strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero)
Preferred
- Experience working across multiple sites or locations
- Knowledge of payment security standards (e.g., PCI compliance)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
