Assistant Accountant, Oxford, Family Office, Part time, up to £35,000 - £45,000

I am working with a great Family Office who are looking for a Assistant Accountant to join them on a part time basis; likely 3 days per week. This person will be helping to clear a backlog of postings and get their accounts up to date.

Suitable candidates will be AAT qualified or qualified by experience, with significant experience with debits/credits, purchase and sales ledger, credit control and a full understanding of the balance sheet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Making journal entries for all receipts, payments, and other financial transactions
  • Clearing backlog on Sage
  • Filing source documents for all journal entries recorded
  • Posting journal entries to ledger accounts
  • Preparing trial balances
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Performing other duties as required
  • Onboarding and offboarding of clients
  • Raising client letters of engagement
  • Liaising with HMRC and Companies house
  • Filing documents correctly with HMRC and Companies House

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience
