Assistant Accountant
Junior Accountant
We are delighted to be partnering with a client in Gloucestershire to recruit a Junior Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to gain broad accounting exposure, develop their technical skills, and progress their career within a supportive and collaborative team.
In this varied role, you'll play a key part in the day-to-day finance function, supporting month-end processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and contributing to wider accounting activities as your experience grows.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchase ledger processes, including supplier reconciliations and resolving account queries
- Process bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations
- Support month-end reporting activities, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
- Help ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and maintained in line with company procedures

About You
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or bookkeeping role
- Keen to pursue AAT or ACA/ACCA
- Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Organised, proactive, and keen to develop your accounting knowledge
