We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team, based in Aberdeen.
The Assistant Accountant will support the finance department, Senior Accountant, and Management team by completing day-to-day accounting functions such as fixed asset and stock accounting, preparation of payroll journals, and basic accounting duties for the company.
This role will report to the Senior Accountant.
Main Tasks
- Preparation and posting payroll journals for all ICR locations
- Fixed Asset Accounts; creation and retirement of assets. Monthly depreciation postings and preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliation support
- Stock Accounting; preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliation support, review variances in stock balances, and support operations with stock in SAP
- HSEQ reporting; provide data for Company Exposure Hours
- Monthly coding review of postings in SAP
- Provide support to Senior Management Accountants
- Support with data for ICR’s Annual Audit
- Support with processing of purchase invoices when required
- Support for sales invoicing when Accounts Receivable Coordinator is unavailable
- Ad hoc support on Finance Projects as required

Requirements
- Relevant degree would be preferable (e.g. finance, accounting, or business degree)
- Knowledge of SAP is preferable, but not essential
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Attention to detail
- Problem resolution and process familiarisation
- Good communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages – specifically Excel
