The Role: Assistant Accountant

Reporting to: Finance Manager Team: Radius Accounting & Financial Control Department
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Assist in monthly management accounts, including profit & loss and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Compile and help produce financial reporting packs with commentary for senior finance colleagues.
- Support budget vs. forecast vs. actual analysis, with clear variance explanations.

Process Improvement & Compliance
- Contribute to year-end processes, such as preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Identify inefficiencies, suggest process improvements, and help streamline operations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and adhering to deadlines.

Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with Group, Tax, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Provide ad hoc analysis or extra support to the Finance Manager as needed.
Who We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with finance experience (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and a logical, analytical mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and eager to learn new accounting systems.
Essential Skills
- Quick learner with a growth mindset—willing to take ownership.
- Organised with excellent time management to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative and a great communicator, able to work across teams.
