TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a growing and ambitious accountancy and business advisory firm in Camberley that is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join its friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with accountancy practice experience who is looking to continue developing their technical skills within a varied and hands-on role. The firm works with entrepreneurial and high-growth businesses across a range of sectors, providing excellent exposure and long-term career opportunities. The Role As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the preparation of accounts and tax work for a varied portfolio of clients while working closely with senior members of the team. This is a broad role that will provide exposure to accounts preparation, bookkeeping and client communication within a professional and collaborative environment. Key responsibilities will include: Preparing statutory and annual accounts from client records Assisting with the preparation of draft corporation tax computations Preparing year-end accounting files and ensuring supporting schedules are complete and accurate Supporting reconciliations and control account reviews including payroll, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets Working with a range of accounting software and cloud accounting packages Liaising with clients to resolve basic queries and request information where required Preparing clear and well-presented working papers Supporting senior team members with ad-hoc assignments and client work Ensuring work is completed accurately and in line with deadlines

Requirements The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will likely have: Previous experience working within an accountancy practice A good understanding of basic double-entry bookkeeping and accounts preparation Experience using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, IRIS or similar systems Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office packages Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy The ability to work independently as well as part of a team Good communication skills and confidence liaising with clients A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn
