Assistant Accountant

What you'll be doing:

The Assistant Accountant will play a key role in keeping the Easyspace Business Unit running smoothly, owning the day-to-day financial operations that keep our numbers accurate and our customers happy. You’ll ensure transactions are processed correctly, billing is delivered on time, and cash revenue reporting is spot-on. Alongside this, you’ll support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, maintain solid balance sheet reconciliations, and help uphold strong financial controls across the business.

Role Overview:

  • Carry out daily and month-end bank reconciliations
  • Process bank uploads, payments, and accurate customer billing
  • Handle billing queries and work with internal teams to resolve issues
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and fix discrepancies
  • Calculate commission payments on time
  • Support AP and AR, including supplier invoices, cash allocation, and collections
  • Assist with debt reviews and aged debt monitoring
  • Produce daily revenue reports and month-end supporting schedules
  • Manage finance support tickets and shared inbox queries
  • Conduct referral partner analysis and process payments
  • Contribute to ad-hoc finance projects and process improvements

We want to hear from you if you:

  • Have previous experience in an assistant accountant role.
  • Have experience of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliation processes.
  • Have good numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using multiple accounting and billing systems would be advantageous.
