The Role
We are looking for a confident and detail-focused Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team, based at the Head Office in Rodley, Leeds.
This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day finance function across the Group. You will work across sales ledger, banking, stock accounting, reconciliations and month-end activities, helping to ensure accurate financial information and strong financial controls.

What You Will Be Doing
- Managing the accounts receivable process, from invoicing through to cash allocation and reconciliation
- Reconciling bank accounts and multiple payment platforms, including credit cards, Klarna and PayPal
- Supporting credit control activities and maintaining customer accounts
- Processing and controlling stock transactions within our ERP system
- Assisting with stock reconciliations and stock valuations across multiple sites
- Preparing accruals, prepayments and month-end reconciliations
- Processing and reconciling intercompany transactions
- Producing financial analysis and supporting ad hoc reporting requirements
- Supporting continuous improvement projects, including the implementation of a new ERP system
What We're Looking For
- AAT qualified or part-qualified
- Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment
- Strong Excel skills and an attention to detail
- Good organisation and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
