The Role

We are looking for a confident and detail-focused Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team, based at the Head Office in Rodley, Leeds.

This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day finance function across the Group. You will work across sales ledger, banking, stock accounting, reconciliations and month-end activities, helping to ensure accurate financial information and strong financial controls.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing the accounts receivable process, from invoicing through to cash allocation and reconciliation
  • Reconciling bank accounts and multiple payment platforms, including credit cards, Klarna and PayPal
  • Supporting credit control activities and maintaining customer accounts
  • Processing and controlling stock transactions within our ERP system
  • Assisting with stock reconciliations and stock valuations across multiple sites
  • Preparing accruals, prepayments and month-end reconciliations
  • Processing and reconciling intercompany transactions
  • Producing financial analysis and supporting ad hoc reporting requirements
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects, including the implementation of a new ERP system

What We're Looking For

  • AAT qualified or part-qualified
  • Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment
  • Strong Excel skills and an attention to detail
  • Good organisation and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
  • A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving
