Role Overview

The Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Accounting & Finance team. They are ideally looking for a self-starter, someone motivated to take ownership for their areas of work within the finance department to support the Finance Manager.

Description

  • Process invoices, payments, and expense claims with accuracy.
  • Maintain and update financial records and manage the Sales ledgers.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Support Credit Control - reconciling company credit cards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.
  • You will handle month-end processing including stock and fixed assets.
  • Assisting with payment runs and cover Accounts Payable if required (not very often but in case of absences).
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation - This is already well reconciled but need someone who understands about reconciliations to spot errors and investigate Month-end Journals.
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding confidential financial queries.
  • Coordinate Monthly Payroll.
  • Provide administrative support for financial audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Daily cash book postings from 6 bank accounts 3 currencies. Liaising with internal depts to update when funds received so good are released.
  • Daily tasks revolved around our month-end and intercompany transactions.

Profile

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

  • A background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial administration, payroll, and bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • A proactive attitude towards your work.
