Vertu Ford Orpington & Bromley
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our Ford accounts team based across our Orpington and Bromley sites.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a basic salary of £32,000 plus a great benefits package. The role covers both our Bromley and Orpington sites, so travel between locations is essential.
You will work alongside the accountant in the production of spreadsheets and statistical data to support the management team, and as an aid to business decisions.
Alongside day-to-day accounts you will also complete the following tasks:
- Forecasts
- Estimates
- Assist with the production of the Management Accounts
- Payroll
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accruals and Prepayments
- Cash Flow
- Reconciling Manufacturer Bonuses
- Credit Control

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Assistant Accountant or an Accounts Assistant within the motor trade looking for their next step. A working knowledge of the Kerridge accounting system would be ideal but not essential. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with all financial and non-financial colleagues, clients and customers.

- Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
