Assistant Acoustic Consultant

Are you passionate about sound, engineering, and real-world impact? Ready to kick-start your career in a role where no two days are the same? We’re looking for a motivated and curious Acoustic Consultant to join our growing team, working on cutting-edge projects across industrial and infrastructure sectors. From on-site measurements to advanced modelling, you’ll play a key role in solving real-world noise and vibration challenges for clients across the UK and beyond.

What you'll be doing:

Get hands-on with real projects from day one, supporting noise and vibration assessments across diverse environments Carry out site surveys and acoustic measurements, using specialist equipment Develop your skills in industry-leading modelling software (CadnaA & SoundPLAN) Turn complex data into clear, impactful technical reports for clients Collaborate with experts across the UK and globally, gaining exposure to international projects Support client relationships and project delivery, building valuable consulting experience Contribute to a high-performing, supportive team culture focused on quality and innovation Continuously develop your knowledge in acoustics, legislation and best practice

What success looks like:

Delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard Producing clear, professional reports that clients trust Growing your confidence in modelling, analysis, and fieldwork Building strong relationships with colleagues and clients Actively developing your career through training, mentoring and hands-on experience

What we're looking for:

A degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) A proactive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn Ability to manage tasks and work collaboratively in a team A full UK driving licence (as site work is part of the role) A genuine interest in building a long-term career in acoustics and vibration

Bonus points if you have:

Experience with noise modelling software or acoustic equipment Knowledge of UK regulations and standards Exposure to a consultancy or engineering environment Interest in working towards Chartership (CEng)
