Build Your GLP Analytical Career with Tetra Tech in Bedford

Purpose and Scope of the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented scientist to join our GLP analytical team in Bedford. This is a full-time, permanent role supporting the delivery of regulated analytical studies through routine laboratory activities, study sample preparation, accurate record keeping and compliance with Good Laboratory Practice standards.

You will receive, record, label, store and track study samples, prepare reagents, standards and quality control samples, and conduct routine laboratory procedures with a high degree of accuracy. You will also operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, support basic troubleshooting, process analytical results for entry into data spreadsheets, and work collaboratively with analysts, study directors and quality assurance personnel.

This role is ideally suited to someone with at least two years’ commercial laboratory experience who is looking to further develop their analytical skills within a regulated laboratory environment.

Your Impact in this Position

You will play an important role in ensuring regulated studies are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with study protocols, SOPs and GLP requirements. You will help maintain high-quality laboratory records, support data completeness and compliance, and assist in the investigation of laboratory deviations and non-conformances.

As you develop, you may support method validation, method transfer and study activities, including sample analysis by LC-MS/MS, GC-MS or other analytical platforms. Tetra Tech offers ongoing training, development opportunities, career progression and a supportive, collaborative working environment within a growing scientific organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
