Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC

Check out the hotel on our virtual tour!

You don’t just support the bar - You help bring it to life.

We’re looking for an Assistant Bar Manager who thrives in the buzz of a busy bar, loves working with people, and takes real pride in creating memorable guest experiences.

This is your chance to step into a role where your energy, personality and ideas truly matter—supporting the Bar Manager in shaping a space that guests genuinely enjoy being part of.

What You’ll Be Part Of

At the heart of our hotel is a bar that’s more than just a place to grab a drink—it’s where connections are made, stories are shared, and experiences begin.

As Assistant Bar Manager, you’ll play a key role in creating that atmosphere. You’ll help lead the team, maintain standards, and ensure every guest leaves feeling looked after, welcomed and valued.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Bar Manager in the day-to-day running of the bar
  • Leading shifts and being a visible, hands-on presence on the floor
  • Creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for guests and your team
  • Coaching and supporting team members to build confidence and skills
  • Maintaining high standards across service, drinks quality and presentation
  • Assisting with stock control, ordering and cost management
  • Stepping up to lead in the Bar Manager’s absence

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
