At Hotel du Vin, we create memorable experiences that our guests never forget. From an intimate business meeting for six guests to a 100-cover wedding celebration, from a busy breakfast service to an evening in our Bistro, it's all in the detail, and you'll help make it happen.
As Assistant Bistro & Events Manager, you will play a key role in leading the day-to-day operation of our Bistro and Meetings & Events department. You will be a visible presence across the hotel, ensuring that every guest receives exceptional service while maintaining the highest brand standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee our restaurant, conference, wedding and event operations, leading teams from the front and ensuring every service runs smoothly and efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and motivating restaurant and events teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Managing the flow of service across Food & Beverage outlets and Meetings & Events spaces.
- Delivering engaging shift briefings and communicating business priorities to the teams.
- Overseeing the successful delivery of meetings, conferences, private dining events and weddings.
- Building strong relationships with guests and clients to encourage repeat business.
- Ensuring all guest requirements are met throughout their visit, proactively exceeding expectations wherever possible.
- Maintaining Hotel du Vin brand standards and service excellence across all operational areas.
- Supporting the wider hotel leadership team.
- Conducting Duty Manager responsibilities and acting as a key operational point of contact across the hotel.
- Driving team engagement, training and development to build a high-performing culture.

About You
You will have experience working in a busy hospitality environment, ideally as a Supervisor, Assistant Manager or within a Meetings & Events operational role. You'll be a confident leader who enjoys developing teams, delivering exceptional service, and taking ownership of operational success.
You'll Bring
- Experience within Food & Beverage, Restaurant, Hotel Operations and/or Meetings & Events.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Confidence in coordinating multiple operational areas simultaneously.
- A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive personality, can-do attitude and genuine love for working with people.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who leads by example, takes pride in delivering outstanding hospitality, and thrives in a hands-on operational role.

Our Sustainability Goals
