About the Role
Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe and part of the STARK Building Materials UK group, is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager who shares our passion for exceptional customer service.

Location: (Not specified; apply to learn details) Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Every alternate Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Branch Manager, your role will include:
- Providing first-line support to the Branch Manager, leading your team to achieve operational and sales success
- Developing strong relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring proactive engagement and tailored solutions — both in person and via phone
- Mastering Jewson’s product lines and services, enabling your team to deliver outstanding customer experiences
- Assessing the local market to support sales growth strategies
- Utilising internal systems to manage customer orders, schedule deliveries, and communicate progress efficiently
- Maintaining accurate stock levels, including regular stock counts
- Promoting Health & Safety as a core value, ensuring your team and yourself adhere to high standards at work

Required Skills & Experience
We’re looking for a candidate with:
- A proven background in sales with a track record of exceeding targets
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a customer-centric attitude
- The ability to build, develop, and maintain loyal customer relationships
- Industry experience or knowledge of building materials (advantageous but not mandatory)
- A collaborative and team-driven mindset
