About the Role

We’re bringing mutual savings, mortgages and financial advice for all back to the Greater Manchester region.

Following our merger with Manchester Building Society in 2023, we returned to the high street in September 2025, with our flagship King Street branch. That was just the beginning of a new era!

We have made great progress in our long-term goal to immerse our society into the fabric of Manchester. Engaging new members to join the movement through face-to-face financial services, enabling us to make a real difference in the local community.

We now have a leadership opportunity as our King Street Assistant Branch Manager, enabling you to make a significant contribution to our growth. In return, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and progress your career
  • Take the lead in a future Branch Manager role as we grow our branch network across Greater Manchester

Within this role, you will:

  • Support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of our city centre branch
  • Coach colleagues and often act as a Deputy
  • Collaborate to achieve business results by building long-term relationships with customers while providing a friendly and professional service
  • Take personal ownership in applying the Branch ‘understanding needs process’
  • Suggest viable financial options for customers and qualify leads for advice specialists

Responsibilities

  • Manage the branch to meet business objectives and build strong customer relationships
  • Be a ✨ face-to-face financial advisor ✨ focused on educating and supporting the community
  • Sponsor, recruit, and manage a high-performing team
  • Attend charity, networking events and community initiatives across Greater Manchester, including:
    • Delivering free pop-up advice sessions across the city
    • Leading community financial education talks on topics such as budgeting, savings, and mortgages

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
