We’re proud of our inclusive, customer-focused culture and the way our colleagues work together to make a difference every day. We’re looking for people who share our values, care about customers and enjoy working collaboratively to improve services and communities.

About The Role

You’ll support One Manchester’s Building Safety Team in ensuring compliance across Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs) and other in-scope properties. Manage a portfolio of buildings, supporting Building Safety Managers with risk management, safety compliance, resident engagement, and statutory requirements. This role requires knowledge of building and fire safety legislation, strong organisational skills, and a customer-focused approach.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the delivery of the Building Safety Plan and manage building safety activities across a designated portfolio.
  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance checks relating to fire, structural, and building safety.
  • Maintain safety management systems and the "Golden Thread" of building information.
  • Coordinate consultants, monitor change control processes, and support building improvement programmes.
  • Assist with Building Safety Cases, Building Assessment Certificate applications, and regulatory compliance.
  • Engage with residents, regulators, emergency services, and other stakeholders on building safety matters.
  • Monitor incidents, resident feedback, and mandatory occurrence reporting, ensuring lessons learned are implemented.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver building safety requirements, maintain evidence, and support governance reporting.
  • Contribute to policy development, training programmes, emergency planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with legislation, best practice, and professional development requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
