This is a full time, permanent contract position.

The location of this role is York, Manchester or Newcastle, inclusive with hybrid working. What you will be doing

As our Assistant Business Manager, you will support the Business Manager in providing feedback to the Local Leadership team on operational and grants budgeting, designation casework, and in ensuring compliance with agreed practices and standards. You will provide quality assurance in relation to our listing, advisory and grant work. You will lead the Planning coordination function of the Business Support teams and be responsible for developing the team’s capabilities in the delivery of statutory casework, grant-aid and advice.

  • Experience of managing complex business processes or projects
  • Experience of working positively and constructively with others to deliver projects or services
  • Effective communication skills to reach a variety of audiences
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities / work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ensuring effective cross-team working
