Assistant Buyer – Help Shape the Future of a Heritage Brand

As an Assistant Buyer, you will be a strategic partner to our Senior Buyers, driving category performance and shaping our product landscape. Under the leadership of our new Director of Buying, Kate Thompson, this commercially focused role offers the chance to make a real impact on our business KPIs while learning from industry experts during an exciting period of transformation.

Key Responsibilities
- Trading Performance: Drive category budgeted KPIs, including sales growth, margin improvement, and stock turn.
- Range Development: Assist in product selection and sourcing to build innovative, market-leading ranges.
- Analytical Insight: Master competitor and trend analysis to identify commercial opportunities and optimise pricing.
- Supplier Partnerships: Manage and strengthen supplier relationships to ensure seamless product launches and maximum profitability.
What We Need
- Commercial Awareness: A sharp eye for products and an understanding of multi-channel retail trends.
- Data Fluency: Highly numerate with advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets to inform decision-making.
- Collaborative Mindset: An effective communicator capable of building strong relationships across cross-functional teams.
- Retail Experience: Proven experience in a similar fast-paced buying or retail environment.
