Job Description
Assistant Buyer - FTC (15-Month)
Location: London | Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days WFH) | £35,000 Pro Rata
Benefits: Ideally available Immediately or a short notice period.
We're looking for an Assistant Buyer to join a busy Procurement team on a 15-month fixed-term cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Buyer with experience ideally in IT and technology (but will look at other sectors) who enjoys building supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and ensuring the smooth delivery of materials and services.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing the end-to-end procurement process from requisition to delivery.
- Raising and managing purchase orders, RFQs, and supplier quotations.
- Negotiating pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving delivery issues.
- Supporting cost-saving initiatives and driving procurement best practice.

What we're looking for:
- Proven procurement or purchasing experience.
- Negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Experience ideally in IT, networking, or communications procurement but will be open to other industry sectors.
- Excellent organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially aware with strong attention to detail.
- ERP system experience (NetSuite or INTACT desirable but not essential).
