We're now looking for an established Assistant Buyer who is competent in managing suppliers, developing newness, negotiating prices. The Assistant Buyer is likely to be working on outerwear, dresses, tops, or bottoms, so experience in these categories would be preferred.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Supporting Buying with prices and development
- Managing design overviews and weekly summaries of product for different platforms.
- Supporting BAA management and priorities
- Managing own category with support of Buyer
- Analysing weekly trade report and identifying actions
- Regular comp shops to identify new and missed opportunities in the range
- Liaising with factories to support critical path management
- Attending weekly fit sessions with QC and design to establish best fits and quality

Skills required:
- Relevant buying experience in the fashion industry to a similar level
- Great communication skills - you will be coordinating with teams such as Merchandising, Design, QC, and the Studio team
- Commercially aware - how to interpret and adapt market trends to the customer to maximize sales
- Keen interest in fashion and trends
- Ability to work independently to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Driven with a strong sense of initiative
