We have an exciting new opportunity for a proactive and organised Assistant Buyer to join our DIY team at B&M!
Whether you're currently an Assistant Buyer or a Buying Assistant ready to take the next step, this is a fantastic chance to develop your skills and take on more responsibility in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting product development, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
This is a permanent, full-time, office-based role located at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool (L24).
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting product selection and development for new and existing ranges.
- Creating photography and packaging briefs for own brand products, assisting with artwork and user manual approvals.
- Taking ownership of sub-categories as you grow within the role.
- Managing the critical paths, overseeing samples, pre-shipment approvals, and shipping documentation.
- Setting up new products and placing orders: creating codes, updating systems, and working closely with suppliers and the merchandising team.
- Communicating with UK and Far East suppliers to follow up on meetings and range reviews.

What You'll Bring:
- Experience in a Buying Assistant or Assistant Buyer role.
- A creative eye for product with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Confidence with Microsoft Excel and be comfortable working with data.
- Strong numeracy skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ideally, a passion for all things Paint, Wallpaper or DIY!
