Assistant H&S/CDM Consultant
We are looking for a motivated and conscientious Assistant H&S/CDM Consultant to join our dynamic and driven construction consultancy.

What does the role involve?
As an Assistant H&S/CDM Consultant with us, you will provide support for the Health and Safety team. This will involve working closely with the rest of the team to improve their knowledge and skills in order to generate, promote and maintain a positive health, safety and environmental culture.
Responsibilities
- Support the consultant team with the delivery of Principal Designer duties in accordance with CDM 2015
- Attend design risk management throughout design and construction
- Support our Consultant Team with advising the Project Design Team, members including client organisations, on Health and Safety risk management matters
- Support Consultants with critical appraisal of Design Risk Assessments submitted by Project Design Team
- Assist with the updating of CDM Compliance Registers and completion of Design Risk Assessments
- Assist with the preparation of Health and Safety project documentation
- Learn key communication skills with contractors, designers, and clients
- Understanding how designers comply with CDM 2015 regulations
- Assist with the plan, coordinate and management of the pre-construction phase of projects
- Assist with the development / review of project pre-construction information
- Attend construction site CDM Audits to review management arrangements on the client's behalf
- Submission of F10 notification to the HSE
- Attending design, pre-construction site meetings and progress meetings
- Assisting in carrying out design risk reviews
- Provide support to consultants on more complex and challenging projects
- Assistance with producing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements
- Assisting with the review of contractors O&M manuals
- Assistance with production of Health and Safety Files
- Always take personal responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others by working within company H&S procedures
- Endeavour to improve our social and environmental impact
- Any other duties as reasonably required

Requirements
- Passion for Health and Safety and implementation of the CDM Regulations
- Basic understanding and knowledge of construction health and safety and CDM Regulations
- Positive and dynamic attitude
- Ability to learn and adapt
- Demonstrate an ability to work to critical deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill as the role is client facing
