The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dynamic Assistant Centre Director to join our Holt Early Learning Centre team. In this key leadership role, you’ll work alongside our Centre Director to ensure high-quality care, compliance, and educational excellence. You’ll play a vital role in shaping young minds, building strong relationships, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations alongside the Centre Director, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Guide curriculum development and implement the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with children, families, and educators.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children through active supervision.
  • Drive continuous improvement and uphold high service standards.
  • Act as Nominated Supervisor in the Centre Director’s absence.

About You

You're passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and families and bring the following:

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent approved qualification).
  • Availability to work full-time (76 hours per fortnight), Monday to Friday between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.
  • Current Paid ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
  • Foundations of Child Safety Training Certificate.
  • Current Senior First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications.

Skills And Experience

  • Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding children and creating safe, inclusive environments.
  • Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF), Education and Care Services National Law, and National Regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to mentor, inspire, and support educators to achieve high-quality outcomes.
