Are you passionate about cooking and providing nutritious meals for young children? As an Assistant Chef at Busy Bees, you’ll play a key role in our kitchen team, preparing healthy meals that support children’s growth, learning, and wellbeing. About the Nursery (Great Yarmouth Location)
Assist our friendly, Ofsted-rated Good nursery, equipped to support 71 children in a warm, welcoming environment. Our recently refurbished setting ensures a bright, inviting atmosphere for both staff and children.

Key Responsibilities
You’ll support our Chef and team in meeting daily nutritional needs for children while upholding high professional standards:
- Prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals, adhering to dietary requirements.
- Assist in kitchen management, ensuring food safety and hygiene compliance.
- Manage inventory, stock levels, and ordering to minimise waste.
- Contribute to meal planning, preparation, and kitchen maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment and equipment.
Ideal Candidate
- Natural leadership experience, especially in early years settings.
- Strong mentoring and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for inducing improvement and maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborative mindset with drive, enthusiasm, and care for young children.
