About the Role
The Intelligent Asset Care division delivers property maintenance, project, and reactive support services to a wide range of complex and sophisticated clients across sectors including corporate, healthcare, education, retail & leisure, and government. The Assistant Commercial Manager is responsible for managing and delivering all commercial and financial aspects of contracts, ensuring obligations are met, risks are controlled, and value is maximised. This role requires proactive stakeholder management, including close collaboration with client representatives, to ensure alignment and successful commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Be someone who makes it happen: Deliver the commercial management function across contracts, ensuring obligations and liabilities are clearly communicated
- Maximise income and minimise costs while ensuring service delivery standards are met
- Support the management and mitigation of risks across operational, financial, commercial, and technical areas
- Manage variation and change control processes
- Maintain a secure repository for confidential and commercially sensitive information
- Support governance processes to ensure compliance with contractual and internal requirements
- Promote awareness of contractual responsibilities across operational teams
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies and service optimisation
- Ensure commercial compliance through audits
- Support cash flow management
- Provide commercial governance and support to projects and supply chain activities

Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Proven commercial experience within the Hard FM industry, including NEC contracts
Required Skills:
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyse complex data accurately
- Solid understanding of risk analysis and risk management
- Demonstrated ability to deliver strong commercial performance across financial, risk, and business continuity areas
- Experience developing commercial awareness within operational teams
- Ability to collaborate with finance teams to monitor and improve contract performance
Preferred Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, suppliers, and clients
- Strong influencing skills, driving effective commercial outcomes across contracts
Pay Range and Compensation Package
£50,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience)
