About the Role
The Assistant Company Secretary role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting governance structures at the highest level. This permanent position is ideal for an organised professional with expertise in corporate governance and a proactive approach to C-suite collaboration.

Our client is a well-established organisation known for maintaining strong governance and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations
- Organise and manage board and committee meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes
- Maintain statutory records and ensure timely filings with relevant bodies
- Provide governance advice and guidance to the C-suite and board members
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance
- Support the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures
- Act as a key point of contact for regulatory authorities and external stakeholders
- Lead the Board Effectiveness Reviews
- Manage the AGM

Profile
Requirements
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Demonstrable experience within a Company Secretarial department
- Outstanding knowledge of the UK Corporate Governance Code and Companies Act 2006
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proven experience in maintaining statutory records and filing requirements
- Ability to provide expert advice on governance and compliance matters
- Ideally CGI Qualified
