The Role:
We are seeking a proactive Assistant Data Centre Supervisor to support the successful delivery of data centre smart-hands and physical engineering engagements to an exceptionally high standard.
Working alongside the Site Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating site activities, maintaining health and safety standards, managing contractors, and ensuring project milestones are achieved on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of site operations.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex incidents, infrastructure failures, and customer-impacting issues.
- Collaborate with Consultancy and Project/Programme Management teams, and/or third parties, to plan, lead, and execute complex data centre installations, migrations, refreshes, and decommissioning activities.
- Assist with site documentation, reporting, permits, and compliance records.
- Lead and oversee advanced racking, stacking, structured cabling, patching, remediation, and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
- Support Sales and Pre-Sales teams by contributing technical insights, validations, and solution designs.
- Support with site surveys to assess data centre readiness, capacity, risks, and operational constraints.
- Deputise for the Site Manager when required.

Experience:
Essential:
- Advanced experience and knowledge of data centre engineering and supporting infrastructure technologies.
- Ideally, at least one industry certification, such as CompTIA Server+/Network+, CCNA/P, VMware VCP, Vendor hardware certifications (Dell, Lenovo, NVIDIA, Supermicro), Microsoft fundamentals in Azure and M365, ITIL Foundation.
Desirable:
- Cisco CCNP or Specialist certifications.
- VMware VCP-DCV.
- CNet CDCTP / CDCDP or BICSI certification.
- Advanced AI / HPC vendor certifications (NVIDIA, Dell, Lenovo, Supermicro).
- AWS, Azure, or GCP administrator or architect certifications.
- Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP.
