Assistant Day Service Officer

Assistant Day Service Officer – Kenmore Neighbourhood Resource Centre

Overview

Kenmore Neighbourhood Resource Centre (NRC) are seeking Assistant Day Service Officers to support NRC staff and Service Users as required.

Key Tasks

  • Provide a warm, caring atmosphere in the Day Service.
  • Assist in planning and providing individualised care while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Undertake skilled daily social and emotional care for Service Users.
  • Act with initiative, responsibility, and professionalism.
  • Observe Council confidentiality rules.
  • Work as part of a team, following CQC and Adult Social Care policies.

About You

The role requires the following qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in providing personal care.
  • Experience assisting Service Users with eating and drinking (ensuring hygiene and support).
  • Training/capacity to undertake moving and manual handling duties.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal abilities and comfort working with diverse individuals (including those with complex needs).
  • Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience.
  • D1 driving licence (desirable but not mandatory).
