Assistant Day Service Officer
Assistant Day Service Officer – Kenmore Neighbourhood Resource Centre
Overview
Kenmore Neighbourhood Resource Centre (NRC) are seeking Assistant Day Service Officers to support NRC staff and Service Users as required.
Key Tasks
- Provide a warm, caring atmosphere in the Day Service.
- Assist in planning and providing individualised care while promoting independence and dignity.
- Undertake skilled daily social and emotional care for Service Users.
- Act with initiative, responsibility, and professionalism.
- Observe Council confidentiality rules.
- Work as part of a team, following CQC and Adult Social Care policies.

About You
The role requires the following qualifications and experience:
- Experience in providing personal care.
- Experience assisting Service Users with eating and drinking (ensuring hygiene and support).
- Training/capacity to undertake moving and manual handling duties.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal abilities and comfort working with diverse individuals (including those with complex needs).
- Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience.
- D1 driving licence (desirable but not mandatory).
