About the Role
Vaughan Neighbourhood Resource Centre is seeking Assistant Day Service Officers to support organisation staff and Service Users as required.
- Provide a warm and caring atmosphere in the Day Service
- Participate in the planning and delivery of individual care, enhancing the independence and dignity of Service Users
- Offer skilled day-to-day social and emotional care
- Act independently, responsibly, and with initiative
- Uphold the Council’s confidentiality rules
- Work collaboratively in a team, while adhering to CQC and Adult Social Care policies and guidelines

- Deliver a supportive and inclusive environment within the Day Service
- Assist in delivering individualised care plans while respecting autonomy
- Address the social and emotional needs of Service Users
- Contribute topromoting independence and dignity
- Follow safety protocols, particularly in moving and handling duties
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information
- Work effectively alongside colleagues to ensure exceptional service delivery
About You
The Vaughan Neighbourhood Resource Centre is looking for motivated individuals who align with the following requirements:
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in providing personal care
- Able to assist Service Users with eating and drinking
- Competency in moving and manual handling tasks
- Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills—capable of engaging with diverse individuals
- Flexibility to work with various Service Users with complex needs
- Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience (D1 Driver’s Licence is desirable but not mandatory)
