Assistant Day Service Officer – Vaughan Neighbourhood Resource Centre
Overview
Vaughan Neighbourhood Resource Centre is seeking Assistant Day Service Officers to support NRC staff and Service Users as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating a warm and caring atmosphere in the Day Service.
- Assisting in planning and delivering individualised care to enhance service users’ independence and dignity.
- Providing skilled daily social and emotional support with initiative and responsibility.
- Adhering to confidentiality policies set by the Council.
- Working collaboratively within a team, following Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Adult Social Care policies.

About You
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience of providing personal care
- Experience assisting service users with eating and drinking
- Ability to undertake moving and manual handling duties
- A Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification
- Good verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal abilities to work with diverse individuals
- Flexibility to support service users with complex needs
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience (or relevant prior work experience)
- A +D1 driving licence (desirable)
