At Seasalt

At Seasalt we live and breathe our product and are proud of the exceptional quality and level of care we take in design and sourcing, to deliver beautiful garments which are loved by our customers. Based on the Cornish coast, we're a B Corp multi-channel lifestyle brand with over 80 shops across the UK and Ireland, over 400 wholesale stockists and a growing online business.

Assistant Designer

As part of our womenswear design team, the Assistant Designer will provide support in creating elevated, timeless, and commercially successful designs for the Accessories Department that align with Seasalt’s modern yet enduring aesthetic. You’ll play a key role in research, design development, and execution, ensuring collections are innovative, commercially viable, and crafted to the highest standard.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a proactive approach to supporting the wider team in delivering beautifully considered collections that resonate with our customer.

Please note that this is a full-time, permanent role and is required to be based in Cornwall, working flexibly from our Head Offices (minimum of 3 days per week) and from home.

You'll help us by:

  • Assisting in the research and development of seasonal mood boards, trend analysis, and fabric direction in line with Seasalt’s handwriting.
  • Supporting in creation of designs for accessory categories reflecting Seasalt’s signature aesthetic, with an emphasis on wearability.
  • Supporting the Design team to translate design strategy and creative concepts into cohesive, elevated collections.
  • Assisting in sourcing and developing premium, sustainable, and commercially viable fabrications, trims, and finishes.
  • Maintaining and organising the design studio’s physical libraries, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of material innovation, and supplier swatches, samples and submissions.
  • Assisting in researching and implementing sustainable practices across design and development, including circular design principles and waste reduction strategies.
  • Creating and updating CADs and design packs, ensuring accuracy and clarity for development, working directly with the supply base.
  • Assisting in fit sessions, sampling, and product refinement, working closely with the Design and Technical teams to uphold brand standards.
  • Liaising with suppliers and factories to support the development and execution of samples, ensuring timelines and quality expectations are met.
  • Working closely with the Designers, Buying, Merchandising and Technical teams to ensure seamless product development in line with the critical path and keeping key documents and the Product Lifecycle Management system (PLM) up to date.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
