Assistant Director of Food & Beverage
The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage is a visible, hands-on leader who drives the performance, culture, and operational excellence of the Food & Beverage division. Working across all outlets, you will lead from the front to ensure every member and guest enjoys warm, intuitive, and consistently exceptional service delivered with personality.
You will create a high-performing environment where standards are uncompromising, teams feel valued and empowered, and colleagues take pride in delivering memorable experiences. With strong commercial awareness and a passion for hospitality, you will continually raise standards, optimise performance, and recognise that every detail matters.
Working collaboratively across the wider operation, you will build strong relationships, champion a one-team culture, and help create distinctive experiences that reflect the exceptional standards and spirit of Taymouth Castle and Discovery Land Company.
Discover the Role
- Lead the daily operation of all Food & Beverage outlets, maintaining a visible, hands-on presence and setting the standard for exceptional service, professionalism, and hospitality.
- Inspire and develop a high-performing, inclusive team where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed, fostering a culture of accountability, wellbeing, recognition, and fun.
- Champion warm, intuitive, and personalised service that balances international luxury with authenticity, ensuring every member and guest feels genuinely welcomed and valued.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to continually evolve the Food & Beverage offering through innovative menus, experiences, and thoughtful service, while creating memorable moments that consistently exceed expectations.
- Foster a culture where excellence is the everyday standard across all areas of Food & Beverage and embed effective systems, procedures, and continuous improvement while confidently resolving operational challenges.
- Lead strong communication, training, coaching, and development practices to build capability, support career growth, and strengthen succession planning.
- Take ownership of commercial performance through disciplined management of budgets, labour, payroll, and stock, making informed decisions that optimise efficiency, drive revenue, and deliver exceptional service experiences.
- Maintain rigorous stock control through effective ordering, rotation, storage, and waste reduction. Drive margin improvement by managing costs without compromising the member or guest experience, while ensuring teams understand the link between exceptional hospitality and strong financial performance. Anticipate operational needs, including staffing, ordering, and resources, to deliver an efficient and commercially successful operation.
- As an Ambassador of Taymouth Castle Golf & Sport Club, you will represent and champion our values, we respect people, places, and culture, while acting as a passionate advocate and supporter of the Club.
