About the Role

As an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer at Arcadis, you’ll contribute to exclusive UK infrastructure projects, working with skilled teams on geotechnical design, ground investigations, and technical reporting. This opportunity allows you to:

Role Accountabilities

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality engineering outcomes and timely delivery while building strong relationships with colleagues, project partners, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the creation of geotechnical calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports, adhering to UK project and industry standards.
  • Engage in geotechnical design and ground investigation solutions, ensuring practical application.
  • Assist in project management components, including effective communication and adherence to health and safety regulations as well as environmental compliance.
  • Assist and mentor in your own professional development with support from experienced team members.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A MEng/MSc degree in Civil Engineering (with a geotechnical specialization), Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Geology.
  • Entry-level experience in civil engineering, preferably with exposure to geotechnical design and/or site investigations.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., VDISP/PDISP, WALLAP, REPUTE, Slope/W) and office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong numerical and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports.
  • Enthusiastic problem-solver with an emphasis on collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and be available to travel and work on-site as required.
