We have a fantastic opportunity within our Infrastructure business for an Assistant Environmental Advisor to join our Nuclear Division.
You will provide technical assistance and support on projects across the framework with regards to environmental waste management.

Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Environmental Advisor, you will:
- Experience with on-site construction water management systems such as Siltbusters, with an understanding of discharge controls such as permitting in a highly regulated environment.
- Currently be SQEP off as a Local Clearance Co-ordinator (LCC) or willing to carry out the training.
- Provide advice relating to current Sellafield waste procedures and have a detailed knowledge of the current LCC process, waste routes, conditions for acceptance, site release pass application, and the Sellafield waste database.
- Provide the knowledge and expertise to support projects ensuring solid waste management and disposal is executed to meet legal and regulatory requirements of both Sellafield Ltd and specific projects.
- Ensure projects are compliant with the Sellafield Waste Management System requirements.
- Liaise with Sellafield waste advisors, Plant Solid Waste Co-ordinators, and project teams to ensure effective flow of information between all stakeholders.
- Carry out inspections, audits, and investigations where required, reporting on, and implementing lessons learned and improvements. Monitor and review performance in line with company processes to deliver current and future requirements.
- Act promptly on non-compliance issues and carry out/participate in investigations where required, look for and share best practice and support process improvement initiatives.
- This is primarily a site-based role which includes activities such as operating valves and moving pipework and pumps across construction sites.
