Salary Grade: T24 Salary Range: $35,600 – $54,500

The Assistant Equipment Manager reports to the Head Equipment Manager for Football, providing outstanding support to student-athletes, coaches, and university staff. The role involves managing all aspects of athletic equipment operations, with a focus on football equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all football equipment operations
  • Assisting in managing equipment logistics
  • Completing additional duties as necessary

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a professional or collegiate-level athletic equipment room
  • Must be an active member of the Athletics Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) or must be eligible for certification within one year
  • Alternate combinations of education and experience may be considered

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Proven ability to build strong, quality relationships
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varied hours
  • Strong project and leadership skills
  • High personal integrity, ethics, and trustworthiness
  • Experience in strategic and financial analysis
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple departments in dynamic environments
  • Commitment to NCAA, conference, and university compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license required
