THE ROLE
The role is to proactively support managing the external campus spaces and common areas in the basement, service roads and car park at Paddington Central, which comprises of a 13-acre campus surrounding office, and retail space across the campus. Working alongside the Estate Technical Services Manager, and Estates Manager, responsible for ensuring that Estate areas are well presented and are clean, safe and secure, by coordinating the fabric, cleaning, security, landscaping, maintenance, and events team’s activities ensuring that these are carried out with absolute minimum disruption or nuisance to the occupiers and residents. Supporting with upcoming retail fit outs and new developments.
To manage the execution of British Land policy, providing an innovative, operationally efficient, economically competitive and environment, for occupiers, residents, contractors and customers across the campus area whilst enhancing the value of the landlord’s asset.
To be the lead in the management of campus-wide and public realm development.

What You’ll Do
Office Administration
- Provide and maintain a welcoming environment for visitors and colleagues within the Campus Management Office.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Management Team.
- Responsible for all general running of site team management office.
- Contribute to projects as required by the Senior Management Team and deliver necessary solutions or outputs in the time scales agreed when the projects are initiated.
- Integrate the Campus Platform into campus processes and procedures.
- Demonstrate and promote the British Land values through (but not limited to):
- Quarterly service partner newsletters
- Promotion and management of the campus recognition schemes
- Delivery of team events, as requested
- Become proficient in the use of all relevant IT systems, act as a super-user to support and train team members as required and assist in the development of system improvements.
- Review processes and procedures with a view to streamlining, simplifying, and increasing efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports.
- Take responsibility for the budget for the Estate Management Office.
- Co-ordinate campus team meetings, events, and onboarding.
- Other duties as requested.
Estate Management
- Hold an understanding of retailer sales and campus footfall systems and produce monthly reporting for the BL team. Ensure retail customers submit sales data on a weekly basis.
- Assist the Estate Manager in maintaining all records of compliance in line with British Land operational processes and procedures. Examples; Meridian, Key Service Commitments, Cr360, Records for Buildings (fire and access log books), Portal incident logs, H&S incident reporting, Incident Management Procedures, etc.
- Support the Estate Manager in ensuring compliance and adherence to all health & safety, surveying, property management and accounts procedures.
- Management of the service road, loading bays and car parks.
- Support the Estate Manager to ensure that service specifications, contracts and associated documentation properly represent the service requirements of the Estate
- Support the Estate Manager in the ongoing retail fitouts and upcoming developments
- Conduct regular audits of estate areas to ensure standards of cleanliness and presentation are upheld throughout, both in public spaces and “back-of-house” service areas.
- Support the Estate & Technical Services Manager in the pro-active procurement of services for the estate, following company tender/procurement guidelines where required.
- Coordinate contractor visits for quotation and selection and oversee routine maintenance tasks across the estate.
- Act as deputy to the Estate Manager when required to do so.
- Support the Estate Manager with financial and H&S administration tasks.
- Other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Estate Manager.
