Part of Oak View Group (OVG), Rhubarb is a premium hospitality collective specialising in luxury event catering, restaurant dining and hospitality. Rhubarb deliver unique dining and venue management at some of the worlds most iconic locations.

About The Venue

8 Bishopsgate is a diverse, multi-outlet tenant driven operation with an incredible range of hospitality. 8 features two café bars; a restaurant on level 26; The Lookout on level 50; executive dining and meeting rooms plus an auditorium for up to 200 guests. In addition, we cater events across the building.

Role Purpose

We're seeking a hands on Assistant Event Operations Manager to help deliver our diverse portfolio of events at this prestigious 8 Bishopsgate. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional events, leading teams, and creating memorable guest experiences, this role is for you!

What We’re Looking For

A proactive and detail-oriented events professional with previous experience in event operations, hospitality, or venue management.

  • You'll be a natural leader with strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional events.
  • Experience in events within a premium hospitality environment with exposure to managing direct reports. This role would be great for a events supervisor looking for the next step up!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the planning and delivery of high quality events, ensuring client expectations are consistently met and exceeded.
  • Take a hands on approach to event operations, leading by example and supporting teams on the floor.
  • Motivate, train, and develop event staff through structured briefings, coaching, and pre-event meetings.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to standard operating procedures and maintain exceptional service standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support seamless event execution and operational excellence.
