We are currently seeking a standards-driven Assistant Executive Housekeeper with an incredible eye for detail and a hands-on leadership style, to join our Housekeeping team.
The on target earning potential for this role is £45,000 per annum - comprising a base salary of £40,000, plus a qualified estimate of £5,000 in gratuities and service charge.* As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards.

Location: Auchterarder, just off the A9. Gleneagles is also within easy reach of a number of Scottish towns and cities: Edinburgh City Centre (1hr), Glasgow or Dundee (50mins), Stirling and Perth (25mins).
Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:
- Partnering closely with our Executive Head Housekeeper to lead, engage and develop our team of over 140 room attendants, porters and managers, fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture
- Deputising for the Executive Head Housekeeper, you'll provide leadership, guidance and operational oversight across the Housekeeping department, ensuring exceptional standards are maintained and the team is fully supported in their absence
- Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and room readiness across the estate, ensuring guest rooms, public areas, our staff accommodation and back-of-house spaces are consistently immaculate
- Overseeing both day and night housekeeping operations, ensuring full compliance with our departmental policies, standards and procedures
- Leading by example, inspiring, motivating and supporting the Housekeeping team, creating an environment where our people can thrive, develop and progress their careers
- Ensuring your team has the resources, equipment and support needed to perform their roles safely, effectively and efficiently
- Driving service excellence by continuously reviewing standards, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring expectations are clearly understood; empowering your team to deliver memorable guest experiences and consistently exceed expectations
- Handling guest feedback, concerns and service recovery situations with professionalism, care and discretion
- Supporting the department's financial objectives by managing people, stock and operational costs effectively while maintaining exceptional standards
- Building strong relationships with our Maintenance team to ensure any issues are identified and resolved swiftly
- Managing stock inventories and ordering processes, maintaining appropriate stock levels and ensuring accurate cost control and timely supplier payments; taking ownership of stock takes and inventory management, ensuring efficient and organised processes are always followed
- Contributing to our daily and weekly operational meetings, playing a key role in the successful planning, preparation and delivery of an outstanding guest experience
- Ensuring all guest requests and enquiries are responded to promptly, professionally and with genuine warmth and care
- Conducting regular inspections throughout each shift to ensure our renowned standards are consistently achieved across both guest-facing and colleague areas; supporting the delivery of flawless room presentation, ensuring every guest room is prepared to the highest luxury hospitality standards
- Collaborating closely with our Front Office, Events and operational teams to coordinate special requests and create seamless guest experiences
- Building meaningful connections with guests, delivering warm, intuitive and personalised service that enhances every aspect of their stay

The kind of person we're looking for:
- You have significant experience within Housekeeping operations, including leadership responsibility in a supervisory or managerial capacity, ideally within large and complex operations. Knowledge of HOTSOS, Opera or similar hotel management systems would be beneficial
- A hands-on and highly visible leader, with a strong work ethic, your organisational skills are excellent and you have strong resilience, allowing you to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- You have exceptional attention to detail, with a keen eye for presentation and fantastic ability to consistently identify and address opportunities to improve standards
- Committed to excellence, you take pride in delivering outstanding results while inspiring others to strive for the same high standards
- With genuine enthusiasm for luxury hospitality, delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving operational excellence and leading teams through change are second nature to you
