Assistant Facilities Manager

Kent / Surrey | Hybrid Working | Circa £35,000 + Bonus + Bupa + Pension + Travel Allowance

Looking for a role that offers more than just managing a single building?

We're recruiting an Assistant Facilities Manager to join a fast-growing, RICS-regulated commercial property consultancy that has built an excellent reputation for delivering first-class property and facilities management services across the UK.

Following significant business growth and several new client wins, they're looking to expand their Facilities Management team with an ambitious individual who wants to develop their career within a supportive, entrepreneurial environment.

The Opportunity

Working alongside an experienced Facilities Manager and senior property professionals, you'll support the management of a diverse commercial portfolio across Kent, Surrey and the wider South East.

This is a hands-on role where you'll regularly visit properties, work closely with clients and contractors, and play a key role in delivering high-quality facilities management services.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Carrying out regular property inspections across the portfolio
  • Supporting planned and reactive maintenance programmes
  • Managing contractors and monitoring service delivery
  • Assisting with statutory compliance and health & safety programmes
  • Supporting risk assessments and compliance inspections
  • Liaising with occupiers, clients and suppliers on day-to-day FM matters
  • Maintaining accurate property and compliance records
  • Working closely with surveyors and property managers to deliver an outstanding client service

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in facilities management, building management or property management and are looking to take the next step in their career.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience within commercial property or facilities management
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and a willingness to get involved
  • Good knowledge of building compliance and maintenance
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confidence managing contractors and building relationships with clients
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Kent, Surrey and the South East
