COMO Metropolitan London is a 144 bedroom property with 19 private residences situated in the Heart of Mayfair.
Finance Assistant
The Finance Assistant is a member of the Finance team, reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager. The role supports the Finance Department by ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, timely processing of financial transactions, and compliance with hotel policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements. Finance Assistant works closely with all hotel departments to maintain efficient financial operations, safeguard the integrity of financial records, minimize financial risk, and support the achievement of the hotel's financial objectives.

What you will do:
- Support the daily finance operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting.
- Process invoices, payments, reimbursements, and journal entries accurately and on time.
- Assist with bank, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain accurate financial records, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Work with hotel departments to resolve finance queries.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
- Use hotel accounting systems and Microsoft Excel to complete daily tasks.
- Follow financial controls, VAT, PCI, and fraud prevention procedures.
- Support the Finance team with other finance-related duties as required.
Who you are:
- You are organized, detail-oriented, and have a genuine interest in finance and accounting.
- You have strong attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate work.
- You are confident using Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with financial data.
- You can prioritize your workload and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is desirable.
- Hospitality experience and knowledge of finance systems would be an advantage.
- You may hold or be working towards an AAT or equivalent finance qualification.
- You are a professional and collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
- You understand the importance of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
- You are keen to learn, develop, and grow your career within Finance.
