Assistant Finance Analyst

📍 Speke (Hybrid - 2 days in the office)

💰 £30,000/£31,000

3 month Temporary contract (likely to go permanent)

The Opportunity

We're working with a well-established organisation looking to add an Assistant Finance Analyst to their Group Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills who wants to develop their career in a commercially focused finance environment.

You'll play a key role in supporting financial insight, reporting, and decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes (actuals, budgets, and forecasts)
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Assist in reviewing performance variances and providing meaningful insight to stakeholders
  • Help ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through validation and review
  • Respond to internal finance queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Contribute to improving financial processes and ways of working

About You

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Experience supporting financial reporting, planning, or analysis
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
  • Proactive, organised, and able to take ownership of tasks
  • Confident communicator, able to work with a range of stakeholders
  • Commercially aware with a focus on continuous improvement
