Assistant Finance Analyst
📍 Speke (Hybrid - 2 days in the office)
💰 £30,000/£31,000
3 month Temporary contract (likely to go permanent)
The Opportunity
We're working with a well-established organisation looking to add an Assistant Finance Analyst to their Group Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills who wants to develop their career in a commercially focused finance environment.
You'll play a key role in supporting financial insight, reporting, and decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes (actuals, budgets, and forecasts)
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Assist in reviewing performance variances and providing meaningful insight to stakeholders
- Help ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through validation and review
- Respond to internal finance queries in a timely and professional manner
- Contribute to improving financial processes and ways of working

About You
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Experience supporting financial reporting, planning, or analysis
- High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
- Proactive, organised, and able to take ownership of tasks
- Confident communicator, able to work with a range of stakeholders
- Commercially aware with a focus on continuous improvement

Desirable:
- Understanding of income & expenditure reporting
- Experience with accruals and prepayments
