Assistant Finance Business Partner
Worcester based with a balance of home and office working
£37,070 per annum
35 hours per week
Temporary position for up to 12 months
We have an opportunity for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to support the activities of the Fire and Gas Operational activities of the team, ensuring the delivery of an effective financial analysis service and implement appropriate controls to enable the Group to achieve it's business objectives and regulatory requirements. Working within a team of 7 and reporting to the Finance Manager, this role sits within the wider team of Affordable Housing Finance which looks after the Finance for Compliance Operations.
The role of Assistant Finance Business Partner will include:
- Supporting the delivery of effective financial services to Compliance Operations to meet the Group’s objectives and to meet regulatory requirements
- Prepare business information for key customers and stakeholders to enable effective monitoring and to support decision making, business planning and effective financial management
- Ensure the maintenance, accuracy and completeness of financial records and adherence to financial controls in order to ensure regulatory and statutory requirements are met including effective management of all supporting processes
- Maintain effective financial systems and tools to enable the accurate and insightful internal and external financial analysis of the organisations asset portfolio and/or areas of business change
- Support the provision of meaningful information to facilitate the effective management of the organisation, reviewing financial performance against agreed criteria and the impact of this upon asset financial performance and forecasts

Skills and experiences:
- AAT or relevant professional qualification/ relevant professional experience
- Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Grade C GCSE English and Maths
- Working knowledge of financial regulation, legislation and current practice
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Some experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- Ability to interpret written instruction and maintain accurate records
- Knowledge of financial systems e.g. SAP

Role salary is £33,397 with an additional policy allowance of £3,673 per annum
