Assistant Finance Business Partner
We're seeking an Assistant Finance Business Partner to support our Property Directorate on a permanent, full-time basis, providing financial insight, robust reporting, and business partnering support that helps drive value for money across Eastlight.
In this role you’ll:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Support month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Help deliver accurate statutory returns and support the annual audit process.
- Provide financial analysis and insight to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Build strong relationships with budget holders and colleagues across the business.
- Contribute to financial projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and supports business performance.

What we're looking for:
- AAT part-qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience preparing management accounts, journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Understanding of key accounting principles and financial controls.
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
- Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to explain financial information to both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Housing sector experience is desirable but not essential.
