About the Role
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dynamic and motivated finance professional to join the Finance team. We're looking for a dedicated and innovative person who can demonstrate the drive and commitment needed to really make a difference to support the ongoing delivery of excellent services for our service users.
You will have a pro-active and positive approach, an ability to develop relationships with clinical colleagues and is adept at producing, analysing, and developing high quality financial information.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Deputy Finance Manager, in the leadership of the Financial Accounting and Capital Team
- Responding to the need to continuously modernise the financial management function
- Performing detailed reviews of financial procedures, systems, ledger coding and reporting
- Increased automation and use of IT to allow increased focus on service transformation
- Delivering high quality and timely financial, technical accounting and capital support to the wider finance team and other operational managers
- Supporting the Senior Finance Manager in the preparation of the annual, quarterly and monthly capital reporting
- Overseeing all accounting for VAT accounting and returns
- Review for approval of all balance sheet and other control account reconciliations, capital accounting, working capital, cash management and the Better Lives Charity
- Supporting the Deputy Finance Manager on leading on inter NHS and Whole of Government agreement of balances
