As our Assistant Finance Manager for our customer NHSSC in our Alfreton site you will be required to work closely with the Finance Manager, operational teams, and customers to deliver high-quality financial reporting, insightful KPI analysis, and robust financial support across the business. With a strong focus on accuracy, collaboration, and customer service, this role plays a vital part in supporting contractual performance and operational success.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £33,500 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Support the delivery of accurate weekly and month-end management accounts across assigned contracts, partnering closely with operational teams
- Produce robust financial reporting, reconciliations and analysis to inform decision-making and meet corporate requirements
- Manage key balance sheet controls, accruals, invoicing and revenue resolutions to ensure financial integrity
- Build strong stakeholder relationships while driving continuous improvement through insight-led financial support
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Deliver accurate, timely weekly and monthly management accounts with meaningful KPI reporting to support contract performance and decision-making
- Apply strong commercial and analytical insight to identify opportunities to improve operational and financial performance
- Ensure full compliance with GXO financial policies, controls, and purchase-to-pay processes, operating with integrity and precision
- Partner confidently with site, contract, and customer stakeholders, bringing a hands-on, detail-driven approach to financial support
- Use advanced systems and Excel skills to continually enhance financial reporting, analysis, and operational insight in a fast-paced logistics environment (Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification or a clear desire to do so)
