Our client is a long-established and highly respected accountancy firm with an impressive portfolio of owner-managed businesses and private clients across a variety of sectors. They are looking to appoint an Assistant Financial Administrator to join their collaborative finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounting or finance experience who is looking to broaden their skills within a supportive and professional environment.
You'll work closely with experienced finance professionals and gain exposure to a wide range of financial administration, accounting processes and client account activities.
The Role
Management Accounts & Financial Administration
- Upload daily bank transactions into the accounting system and complete bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile petty cash card accounts and company credit cards on a monthly basis.
- Process employee expense claims accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain the purchase ledger, including processing supplier invoices, preparing payment runs and reconciling supplier accounts.
- Post client disbursements and recharges while maintaining clear supporting documentation.

Client Account Services
- Prepare payment files for bank upload, ensuring appropriate authorisation and supporting documentation.
- Complete monthly client account reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Process client credit card payments in accordance with internal procedures while delivering excellent client service.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- AAT part-qualified status or equivalent practical finance experience.
- Experience within a Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger or Finance Assistant position.
- A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with colleagues and clients.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365.

Experience with any of the following systems would be advantageous:
- CCH
- Twinfield
- Basecone
- QuickBooks Online (QBO)
