About The Role
Assistant Fit-Out Estimator
Location: Hillsborough, Northern Ireland | Permanent
Are you looking to build a career in estimating within the commercial fit-out and interiors sector? We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Fit-Out Estimator to join our growing team at our Head Office. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their estimating career while working alongside experienced industry professionals on a diverse range of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.
As an Assistant Fit-Out Estimator, you will support the pre-construction team in preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing project documentation, obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations, and contributing to competitive tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents.
- Obtain and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Support the estimating team with take-offs and cost analysis.
- Help maintain pricing databases and project cost records.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Attend site visits and project meetings where required.
- Assist with the smooth handover of successful tenders to delivery teams.

What We're Looking For
- An interest in construction, commercial interiors or fit-out projects.
- Previous experience in an estimating, construction, quantity surveying or related role would be advantageous.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical information and drawings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
