About the Role
Carvela, deeply rooted in Italian heritage, leads the way in premium accessories, specialising in shoes and bags designed in the heart of Milan by women, for women. Each product reflects our commitment to exceptional design and comfort, with every collection crafted thoughtfully. Our brand is shaped by timeless style and a design philosophy that empowers women of all ages to feel their best. Made with high-quality materials and Italian-inspired silhouettes, our collections are created to work as hard as the women who wear them.
We are seeking a Senior Footwear Designer to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering elevated, trend-conscious footwear under the Carvela brand.
Responsibilities
To excel in this role, you will:
- Produce high-quality design work consistently, meeting strict targets and tight deadlines
- Demonstrate a flair for design, blending great creativity and imagination with precision
- Show passion for the fashion industry, with a strong knowledge of both major designer brands and innovative newcomers
- Generate original ideas aligned with upcoming trend forecasting
- Maintain strong brand aesthetic consistency across multiple product categories
- Confidently present designs in both formal and informal environments
- Gain practical knowledge and experience of production methods to refine your work
- Work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing to a cohesive team effort
- Develop a deep understanding of Carvela, our collections, and our brand essence

Requirements
We are looking for candidates with: ✔ Previous experience in footwear design ✔ The ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure ✔ A passionate spirit and keen eye for trends and aesthetics within fashion ✔ Strong communication skills for reviewing and presenting designs ✔ A balanced approach to teamwork — able to work autonomously but also collaboratively ✔ A clear understanding of Carvela’s brand values and direction
